The
Octopus Hunter
by Janna Wilson
an astonishing collection from Haida GwaiiJanna
Wilson's poems reflect the surroundings of ocean and creatures and a
coming to grips with life, love, death and a new culture.

again! theyd shriek when the documentary ended,

Janna Wilsons work has been published
in Canadian Living, Northword and in the now defunct Big World
Magazine. Writing her first book, British Columbia, A Walking
Guide (Cicerone Press, UK, 2002) led her across continents to Haida
Gwaii where she now lives with her husband and three children in the
Haida village of Skidegate. This is her first book of poetry.
