Erin Suurkoivu was raised in Northern
Ontario, and has lived in Ottawa and Vancouver. She has been writing
since a young age. Her first collection of poetry, The Honey in the
Lion & Other Poems, is forthcoming (Lulu, 2012). She currently
lives on Vancouver Island.
Dreamers
Unhinged, you swing at arcs
that bear up under purple weight
and float away, barely aloft.
Softer still is your whisper,
such appropriate shivers
unfurling tentatively
while beneath the stars
adjacent dreams brim.
