kjmunro was born & raised in Vancouver, B.C., and now lives in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Her poems have appeared in Lake: a Journal of Arts and Environment, Cirque, a Literary Journal for the North Pacific Rim, Modern Haiku, Acorn: a journal of contemporary haiku & The Heron's Nest, among others. President of The Whitehorse Poetry Society since 2010, she is currently working on a poetry manuscript.

"gift of the land" won the poetry contest of the 2007 Whitehorse Poetry Festival, and appeared in Issue # 6 of Lake: A Journal of Arts and Environment, 2011, UBC Okanagan.
