faith

we
the living with children
walk among the
worries
treading softly
stepping quickly through the crowd
nagging beggar doubts
grandmothers & wolves
pluck at our sleeves
we push past
trying our best to ignore them
wishing they would just go away
we dream our own endings
to the stories
knowing
only too well
what may
in every shadow
lurk
