Nicole Pakan is an active member of the Edmonton literary
community. She is the co-editor of DailyHaiku, art editor for
DailyHaiga, and is a past board member of the Edmonton Poetry
Festival. Her first chapbook, Contemplating Vows (with Patrick
M. Pilarski), was published by Katabatic Books in 2011. In 2009 Nicole
won the CBC poetry faceoff in Edmonton, and placed third nationally.
Her work has appeared in many Canadian literary journals, multimedia
exhibits, on television, radio and on stage. Nicole lives in Edmonton
with her literary co-conspirator Patrick, a dozen fish and far too many
