Richard Stevenson is the author of 25 full-length books, a CD of jazz and poetry with jazz/poetry troupe Naked Ear, and 10 chapbooks. His other collections of haikai poetry include Hot Flashes (Ekstasis Editions, 2001), A Charm of Finches (Ekstasis Editions, 2004), Flicker at the Fascia (Serengeti Press, 2005), Tidings of Magpies (Spotted Cow Press, 2008), The Emerald Hour (Ekstasis Editions, 2008), Windfall Apples (Athabasca University Press, 2010) and Casting Out Nines (Ekstasis Editions, 2011). Richard also occasionally performs with the young adult rock/poetry group Sasquatch. He regularly reviews poetry and fiction, and periodically runs adult and young adult workshops. He holds degrees in English and Creative Writing from the University of Victoria and University of British Columbia and teaches Canadian Literature, Creative Writing, and Business Communication at Lethbridge College in southern Alberta.
