April
Bulmer has published five books of poetry: A Salve For Every Sore
(Cormorant Books, 1991), The Weight of Wings (Trout Lily
Press, 1997), HIM (Black Moss Press, 1999), Oh My Goddess
(Serengeti Press, 2004) and Spring Rain (Serengeti Press,
2005). She won the Ontario Poetry Society’s Second Time Around
Contest in 2004 and was a finalist for the 1997 Pat Lowther Award
for the best book of poetry by a Canadian woman. She has been published
in many journals including The Malahat Review, Arc, Event, Vox
Feminarum and Contemporary Verse 2. Her work has also appeared
in a number of anthologies. April has three Master’s Degrees
in the area of creative writing and religious studies and is interested
in feminist forms of spirituality. She lives in Cambridge, Ontario.
