Leanne McIntosh lives in Nanaimo, British Columbia.  Her work has appeared in Fiddlehead, Grain, and The Malahat Review.  Her first book, The Sound the Sun Makes, was published by Oolichan in 2003.  She is a founding member of the Island Women Poets group.
