true art,” says Thomas Merton, Allan Brown was born and raised in Victoria, BC, and presently lives in Powell River. He has taught English and Creative Writing at St Lawrence College Saint-Laurent (Kingston, Ont.) and at the Powell River campus of Malaspina University-College. His poems have been published in Canadian magazines and newspapers since 1962 and partly collected in 15 books and chapbooks, including two Selecteds, Winter Journey (Quarry ) and Divinations (Ekstasis).
